About Us

Friend of the Rottweiler Rescue & Rehome South Africa is a platform to network and responsibly rehome the many homeless and shelter Rottweilers in our country. We are a voice for the ones who need homes, assistance and love whether they are in the various shelters, SPCA's and rescue centres country wide or need responsible rehoming.
Our objective is to find loving and suitable homes for the many Rottweilers in need.

CRITERIA

We generally only get asked to rehome dogs from 18 months onwards and do not have puppies available for adoption.We do not encourage the irresponsible sale and breeding of puppies for monetary gain nor adopting Rottweilers as guard dogs or security dogs.

We offer a rehoming service for dogs which will place them in loving, domestic environments. We have strict guidelines for adoption, including homechecks.

ADOPTION + FOSTERING

Should you wish to adopt, foster or donate to our organisation or know of a Rottweiler in need, you have come to the right place. Fostering can save a dog’s life as we have seen in many cases. 

Although you cannot offer a forever home, taking a dog in for either rehabilitation or offering a temporary safe environment for a dog that is not coping in a kennel situation is a vital role in rehoming. We believe that Rottweilers, a breed with a negative stigma attached, deserve a second chance and can thrive in the right home.
